The Austin History Center Association (AHCA) is pleased to welcome Jefferson Nunez as our new Associate Development Director. With a strong background in nonprofit development and community engagement, Jefferson will play a key role in advancing our mission to preserve and celebrate Austin’s diverse history.

Jefferson joins AHCA after serving as Development Director at Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center and Development Manager at United Way for Greater Austin. He has successfully led fundraising initiatives and strengthened community partnerships.
In his new role, Jefferson will:
- Lead fundraising efforts to support exhibits, programs, and archival initiatives.
- Engage the community through donor relations, membership development, and outreach.
- Strengthen AHCA’s strategic growth, helping expand resources for the Austin History Center.
We are thrilled to have Jefferson on board and look forward to the energy and expertise he brings to our organization.
As we welcome Jefferson, we also take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to Dane Anderson, who recently retired as AHCA’s Membership Coordinator. Dane’s dedication was instrumental in growing and maintaining our membership base, strengthening AHCA’s connection with the Austin community.

Her efforts laid a strong foundation that will continue to benefit the organization for years to come. Dane played a pivotal role in fostering a passionate and engaged membership, ensuring that AHCA’s supporters remain at the heart of everything we do. We are incredibly thankful for her contributions and wish her all the best in her well-earned retirement.
AHCA is at an exciting moment of growth, and with Jefferson’s leadership in development, we look forward to building upon the foundation Dane helped establish. Together, we will continue working to preserve and share Austin’s incredible history.
