The Austin History Center Association (AHCA) is proud to announce that the Lola Wright Foundation has awarded a grant of $14,623.19 in full support of our latest initiative: Investing in History: Investing in Information Technology. This generous funding will allow AHCA to enhance its technological infrastructure, ensuring that we can continue preserving and sharing Austin’s rich history in innovative and accessible ways.
A Legacy of Support
The Lola Wright Foundation has long been a steadfast supporter of AHCA, championing our mission to protect and celebrate Austin’s history. This latest grant furthers that commitment by providing the necessary tools to expand and modernize our ability to document, present, and communicate the stories that define our city.
Enhancing Our Oral History Program
One of the most exciting aspects of this grant is its impact on our Oral History Program. Since 2016, AHCA has recorded 150 stories, capturing the voices and experiences of Austinites across generations. This funding allows us to better organize and showcase these existing oral histories, making them more accessible through our website. Additionally, it provides essential post-production tools that will streamline future recordings.

Strengthening Our Digital and Donor Engagement
Beyond oral histories, this investment supports critical improvements in our operations, including updated IT equipment, point-of-sale systems for donations, and enhanced Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools. These upgrades will help AHCA strengthen donor engagement, improve internal workflows, and ensure a more seamless experience for those looking to support Austin’s history.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Lola Wright Foundation for its continued partnership and support. By investing in AHCA’s technological capabilities, this grant empowers us to strengthen our operations, expand our reach, and fulfill our mission with greater efficiency and impact.
