UPDATE: EVENT POSTPONED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER
Join us for drinks, conversation, and a journey through Austin’s past at the 6th Floor Rooftop of the Austin Central Library—the very site where Waterloo, the settlement that became Austin, was founded.
This special evening will bring together history enthusiasts, city advocates, and community leaders as we explore how Austin evolved from a frontier outpost to the dynamic city we know today. Through networking and discussion, the Austin History Center Association (AHCA) aims to support the expansion of the Austin History Center Campus, ensuring it remains a vital resource for preserving and sharing Austin’s stories for generations to come.

We’re honored to welcome Ted Lee Eubanks, Certified Interpretive Planner and leader of the Steering Committee behind the “Our Austin Story” initiative (Downtown Austin Alliance). Ted will offer insight into how Austin’s identity was shaped over time, from its early days as Waterloo to the thriving cultural hub it is today.
