SUMMARY:Anniversary Giving Campaign
DESCRIPTION:October (All Month) \nAHCA Anniversary Giving CampaignThe Austin History Center Association (AHCA)\, an organization with a 46-year history of preserving Austin’s past\, is proud to announce its Anniversary Giving Campaign this October. The fundraising campaign marks a significant milestone: the 44th anniversary of the Association’s formal establishment as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit on October 5\, 1981. \n\nThis celebration coincides with the soft opening of the Austin History Center at the newly renovated John Henry Faulk Library building. The Austin History Center will be open with limited hours (Thursday\, Friday\, and Saturday from 12:00–5:00pm) to the public beginning on October 9th\, 2025\, offering a sneak peek of its newly renovated and organized spaces. \n“For 46 years\, the AHCA has been dedicated to preserving and sharing Austin’s unique story\,” said Adam Powell\, AHCA Executive Director. “Our formalization as a nonprofit 44 years ago allowed us to build the foundation for our work today. Now\, as the Austin History Center prepares to reopen to the public\, we are looking to our community to help launch the next chapter of Austin’s history.” \nThe AHCA has set a goal of raising $25\,000 during October. Funds will directly support the preservation of archives\, community programming\, and expanding access to historical resources\, all of which are essential to preparing for a full reopening. The month-long campaign will feature a volunteer event on October 18th and a History Hour on October 23rd\, a networking event for Austin history enthusiasts. \nEvery donation\, no matter the size\, makes a direct impact in helping us meet this goal. Will you join us by making a gift today?

SUMMARY:The 2026 Angelina Eberly Luncheon Annual Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, February 26th\, 11:30am–1:30pm. \nThe 2026 Angelina Eberly Luncheon FundraiserLighting the Fuse: Funding the Future\n\nThe Austin Club | February 26\, 2026 \nThe Blast That Secured a Capital\nA central figure of the Texas “Archives War\,” Angelina Belle Eberly’s quick thinking secured Austin’s status as the state capital. In December 1842\, when President Sam Houston dispatched Texas Rangers to secretly move the Republic’s archives to his namesake town\, Eberly discovered the plot. \nShe fired a cannon to alert the townspeople\, who then chased the Rangers down\, forced them to surrender the archives\, and preserved Austin as the state capital. \nA Spark for Austin’s Stories\nThe Eberly Luncheon is a celebration of Austin’s diverse history and the dedicated supporters who make the work of the Austin History Center Association possible. This event marks the official launch of our vision: To expand the Austin History Center Campus as a critical resource and destination for all. \nMuch like the blast of Angelina Eberly’s cannon\, your support is the spark that continues our impact\, allowing us to preserve the past and amplify all of Austin’s stories together. \nSponsorshipsBecoming an Eberly Luncheon sponsor helps preserve Austin’s history and support the expansion of the Austin History Center. Your sponsorship keeps the city’s stories alive for generations to come. \n\n \nDownload Sponsorship Packet (PDF) \n  \nTicketsEach ticket directly supports the Austin History Center’s mission to protect and celebrate Austin’s past.
